The incumbent will have primary oversight of the end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis and will contribute towards the strategic management of Credit Corporation Properties Company. This is a senior role based in Port Moresby.
Primary Responsibilities
Financial Management:
Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Develop and manage annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and internal policies related to financial operations.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
Prepare financial reports for senior management, stakeholders, and auditors.
Lead the forecasting and budgeting process, including variance analysis and recommendations.
Manage payroll functions and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.
Administration:
Supervise administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient office operations.
Oversee office management tasks, including inventory control, facility management, and procurement processes.
Provide administrative support to senior management, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and organizing events.
Coordinate internal and external communications related to finance and administration.
Ensure effective implementation of office policies and procedures.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Manage audit preparation and liaise with auditors to ensure timely and accurate audits.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of finance and administration staff.
Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management and administrative functions, preferably in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and administrative procedures.
Proven experience with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems)
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
