Most recently, John served as Chief Executive Officer of State Trustees Ltd, where he led growth and transformation programs for the Public Trustee of Victoria with more than A$2.9 billion in funds under management.
Prior to this, he was Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Scholarships Group, Australia and New Zealand’s largest specialist education benefits provider. John’s career also spans over 30 years with the ANZ Group, where he held senior leadership positions across retail and commercial banking, corporate banking, and risk management.
Recognised for his community-centred approach to leadership and strong commitment to values and ethics, John is a proven leader in delivering sustainable growth, governance excellence and stakeholder value.
John serves as a Board Member of Geelong Bank, a regional mutual bank, and Bravery Trust, a national charitable trust supporting veterans. He is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. John has completed post-graduate studies in Banking and Finance at Monash University and RMIT University.
